DAMIANS FALL CAPSULE WARDROBE
I am sure that you have heard about the idea of capsule wardrobes, and it sounds like such a daunting task, especially when it comes to dressing your kids! A capsule wardrobe usually has 30-40 pieces that can be transitioned within seasons. Of course, when you are dealing with kiddos they tend to grow out of their clothes fast so we own a few less items than that! There were some items that transitioned from his spring/summer wardrobe well into fall. We kept 3 t-shirts, one pair of jeans, two hoodies and two long sleeves. All of his other pants were a little tight so we sold them. We take a minimal and capsule approach to Damian's clothing items for a couple of reason.
1. We are trying to teach him from a young age about consumerism.
2. I love to support local makers and small businesses. When you are not purchasing so many items, it is a lot easier to have the funds to support these businesses without breaking the bank.
3. We want everything is his closet to be cohesive, that way it is simple to dress him.
As you look through these adorable pictures of Damian, you'll find that most of his clothing is very versatile, yet fun! I got him a pair of printed harems as well as a bold coloured legging. My rule is that all of his items must be able to make 3 outfits!
Its very important to us when we purchase Damian's clothing that they will wash wear as well as can be played in. We believe kid's clothes are meant to get dirty, be washed and worn again (in the mud!).
